With over five decades in the engineering world, Eddy Berridge is a man who’s seen (and drawn) it all. From sugar mills to gold mines, greenfield sites to EPCM studies – he’s been behind the layouts and detail drawings that keep things moving, quite literally.

Eddy founded EB Technical (Pty) Ltd with one goal in mind: to bring practical, cost- and time-effective design expertise to complex engineering challenges – all while mentoring the next generation of designers along the way.

Before EB Technical, Eddy spent years working with big names like Nestlé, Petra Diamonds, Illovo Sugar, METC, and RSV Minerals, contributing to projects across South Africa, Botswana, Nigeria, and beyond.

But don’t let the technical titles fool you – Eddy’s also an adventure motorcyclist, mountain biker, and fly fisherman, who somehow still finds time for photography and family life. At 71, he’s just as energized by his work as he was as a fresh-faced draughtsman back in the ’70s (though now he’s upgraded from drawing boards to AutoCAD 3D).

A true blend of practicality, experience, and personality, Eddy leads EB Technical with a steady hand, a sharp pencil, and a love for building things that last.
